The Liberation Caucus describes itself on X as “A Marxist-Leninist-Maoist caucus in DSA.”

After Elias Rodriguez shot two Israeli Embassy staffers in cold blood on May 21, 2025, yelling “Free, free Palestine,” the caucus posted “Free Elias Rodriguez and all political prisoners” on X and endorsed a statement saying  the shooting was “a legitimate act of resistance against the zionist state.”

The Caucus has held to its violent stance despite pushback from DSA leadership.
