An imam and professor at Kent State University, Taha delivered a sermon at the Islamic Society of Akron and Kent (ISAK) on December 13, 2024, in which he made inflammatory and antisemitic statements about Israel and Jewish people. In his sermon, Imam Taha referred to the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attack that killed over 1,200 Israelis as the “Al-Aqsa Flood.” Taha praised the attack, calling it both a “miracle” and a victory.
