A network of far-left anarchist groups designed specifically to recruit teenagers, the Youth Liberation Front (YLF) has openly disavowed peaceful protest and complying with police demands. The group has stated, “Your protest can NEVER be peaceful if it perpetuates the violence of policing.” In 2020 the Seattle Times reported YLF instructed its members that, “If you see someone smashing windows, shut the f*** up.” YLF has openly called for vandalism and terrorist attacks against prisons.
