Imam Asad Zaman
Imam Asad Zaman “has a troubling history of playing into classic anti-Jewish themes,” according to an Anti-Defamation League official. “He also has justified violence against Israel, including from terror groups.” Arab News noted that Zaman has a history of inflammatory posts on social media, including a Facebook post linking “to a neo-Nazi Holocaust denial website, which promotes viciously anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”
Zaman leads the Minnesota chapter of the Muslim American Society (MAS), a national organization “founded as the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States,” according to court documents. A 2019 MAS event in Philadelphia featured children calling for violent revolution, stating: “We will chop off their heads, and we will liberate the sorrowful and exalted Al-Aqsa Mosque.” In 2014, the United Arab Emirates designated MAS as a terrorist group.
